An Inviting New Restaurant

Looking for something new to do in Mercedes, TX? Well, Mercedes, Texas is not a big town, and therefore restaurants are not numerous. Amongst the places to eat in Mercedes, TX is a unique gem, called: “O’s Burgers and More..”! It is difficult to find food this good anywhere! And there’s more…

A few months ago, I was driving along the Frontage Road, heading to the Outlet Mall stores, and I saw it!

I liked their “O’s Burgers and More..” sign, and it made me realize that I was quite hungry. I had some extra time, so I thought: What the heck, I am going to at least check out the menu. I am glad I did!

To make a long story short, I met the owners, a very nice family! People who care about people.

I learned about how their restaurant was a recent startup. I learned a story about “the American dream”. I learned how the ownership family was “all in” to make their restaurant successful. And I saw and tasted how they are doing it deliciously, and with style.

It reminded me about ‘risk’. Risk is in everyday life, and yet most of us do not think consciously about the risks we blindly take, each and every day. We do, however, think about those risks – for lack of a better word – that become our hopes and dreams.

So I ask a few questions: Do you believe in The American Dream? Do you believe in hard work to realize those dreams? Do you believe in gladly taking personal and financial risks to realize your dreams? And, do you believe in serving others?

Okay, then I invite you – no matter if you are a local, or a traveler – to come and taste! Come and have some awesome wings, a fresh-made selection of burgers, and one of my personal favorites: Deep-fried mushrooms! And notice the splendid service and dedication to each person. It is obvious that we are not merely a “number” to this restaurant and these people; we share in their dream and they know it!

Let’s face it…we live in a great country! It is like nowhere else in the world!

And one of those very special and central freedoms in our USA is the ability to stop into someone else’s “American Pie” dream and be very pleasantly surprised.
